Die europäischen Vipern (Genus Vipera) sind in der Paläarktis weit verbreitete Giftschlangen. Aufgrund von mtDNA Markern und morphologischen Vergleichen untersuchen wir die Phylogeographie, Taxonomie und Ökologie der am weitesten verbreiteten Arten (Vipera berus, V. aspis and V. ammodytes)
